Weekend plans October 8-9 open

Hey guys and gals we will open  Saturday 830ish with the pilot arriving at 9am flyin until 4pm. A static line instructor and coaches will be on hand so we can help students progress through student status. Weather looks a great! It may be raining in Manhattan, but it’s jumpable here in Abilene.  Come on out!

Sunday Funday at the Free Fall Fest!

Weather forecast looks like we should be jumping all day. Come out and get some of this Caravan before it heads back to Clinton. We will be opening the doors at 8 and will be flying until late in the day.

Boogie Weekend

The caravan will arrive at about 1pm tomorrow in Abilene.  There is no registration fee.  $22 jumps for experienced jumpers.  In-date reserve and USPA membership required.  Student jumpers on freefall status are welcome to jump.  We are offering tandem skydives all weekend, and walk-ins are welcome.

Friday looks warm and sunny with some higher winds that should slow down into the evening.  Saturday’s aviation forecast look better than the wuffo forecast, so don’t be scared away.

Current News: Class and Freefall-Fest Boogie updates

Hope everyone is having a great start to their week!! Things are progressing well for our Boogie next weekend, September 23rd -25th. Yes, we have added Friday to the event as we expect the Supervan to arrive early afternoon so we plan on jumping Friday. We will have additional tandem slots available. We expect jumps to cost $22 to 14k for upjumpers. Tandems are $225 but you can get a $10 discount if you prepay in full. You can find links to sign people up for tandems on our website or go to secure.kstate.com. Slots are filling so don’t wait if you have a certain time or day you want to  skydive. We definitely will need club members and friends of the club who are willing to be involved to help out with usual boogie duties.

Due to some  logics issues that we couldn’t avoid we had to cancel the class that was to take place for this weekend, Friday night -Sunday morning. We do apologize for the inconvenience. Our next class is Sept 30- Oct 1. With that said, we will be closed for jumping in Abilene this coming weekend.

Open Saturday at 10am

We are open tomorrow, but we will be flying a limited number of loads as the airplane only has 8 hours left on it until the next 100 hour inspection, and we are trying to conserve time for the When Pigs Fly event next weekend.  We have 4 tandems scheduled, so there will be at least 4 loads to full altitude.  First jump students who did not get to jump last weekend should definitely come out.

Open Saturday

Sept 3: Doors will open at 8am for FJC students, pilot will be there at 9am. If there are enough fun jumpers, a load could go up before FJC loads start. Fun loads will fly in-between FJC loads as interest/timing works out. Come out and show the FJC students how to have fun!

Closed Saturday, Open Sunday

Closed Saturday, open Sunday.  On Sunday, we have 3 tandems scheduled, so come out and keep the plane turning.  If you are interested in making a first jump, sign up and cone out to the  course on Sept 2nd-3rd.  If you are uncurrent amd need refresher training, you know who you are…hope to see you there.
