We are back to active jumping!
June 6th, 2020
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic we were closed for over 2 months. With the reopening, we encourage those who are coming out to jump to still maintain social distancing when ever possible. Please stay home if you are sick or have a fever. We will be wearing face covering in the aircraft during the ride to altitude. Due to the nature of skydiving and tandem jumping, periods of close personal contact are unavoidable. Currently we mainly have tandem sign ups on Saturdays, if you need a Sunday date please email us for instructor availabilty.
Closed Sunday, March 19th
We are closed Sunday due to forecasted high winds. Have a great spring break!
Open Friday at 2:30pm, Saturday at 8am
We are open tomorrow at 2:30pm, wheels up by 3. Saturday, we will open at 8am. Static line instructor available for student recurrency and first jumpers both days.
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to do a tandem on Saturday. I will need to check with our tandem instructors, but we likely can take a few people.
For students, winds should stay under student limits both days, but to minimize your chances of not jumping Saturday, try to show up early as winds may pick up throughout the day. On Friday, we may be at or near the limit when we open but winds are supposed to steadily decline into the evening.
Looking forward to an incredible season.
First Jump Class & Refresher Training
Room 227 of the KSU Student Union, 6-10pm. If you have paid the deposit, the $120 balance is due. Otherwise, the full course cost is $170. If you are attending as a refresher, there is no cost except for club dues.
Happy to report that the plane is ready to fly. We got 5 loads in yesterday and jumped our new student harnesses.
Despite the forecast, we will still have the morning portion in Abilene unless otherwise stated.
Free Student Refresher Training Friday
Because we have been closed for quite a while, we are offering free refresher training this weekend along with the First Jump Course.
If you have not made a jump in the last 30 days and were on freefall status, you must do a static line practice throw jump before continuing on to freefall jumps.
If you have not made a jump in the last 90 days, you must sit through the Saturday morning portion of the first jump course.
If you have not made a jump in the last 120 days, you must sit through the entire first jump course.
For those who have been out longer than 6 months, we are waiving the usual retrain fee. (Club dues will still apply.)
Because it is a new semester, club dues are due. This applies to everyone except for the people taking the first jump course (for the first time) as club dues are part of the price for that.
If you have any questions about the first jump course or refresher training, ask us at email@example.com
First First Jump Course of the year Friday!!!
Future skydivers and current sky gods!
We have our signup page fixed. Get over to the signup page and get registered!!
There are a few that have signed up already but there was a lot of interest shown and there is still space available. Those who put down deposits will be given priority if we reach capacity for the weekend. An email containing instructions will be sent out to those currently signed up and any who sign up between now and Friday will be contacted before the course starts.
It looks like it is going to be a great season, so get a jump on the jumping!
One more week (fingers crossed)
We are closed this weekend and cautiously optimistic that the plane will be ready for next week.
